  • Tuesday, October 7, at 7:30 p.m.: Meeting of the Friends of Hemlock Gorge at the Emerson School, Pettee Street, Newton Upper Falls.
  • Saturday, October 18, 10 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m: Harvest Fair at the Newton Centre Green. Further information is provided by the City in the form of a PDF (Adobe Acrobat) Flyer
  • Sunday, October 19
    • 11:00 a.m. -- 5: 00 p.m: Harvest Fair at the Newton Centre Green
    • Hankus Netsky & Another Realm performs at the All Newton Music School, 321 Chestnut Street, West Newton.
      The group consists of pianist and reed player Hankus Netsky,flutist/composer Linda Chase, bassist Kim Cass, and percussionist Tupac Mantilla. On this occasion, they will also be joined by vocalist Rebecca Rubin. Together, the group explores a repertoire that includes pieces from South American, Eastern European, Asian, and Jewish traditions, jazz standards, music of romantic and impressionist European composers, poetry-based improvisations, and original songs and compositions.
