  • Sunday, August 10, 2:00 p.m.: Newton History Museum's "2nd Sunday Walking Tour": Norumbega Using materials from the museum's collection as a guide, we'll stroll the grounds of the former Norumbega Park, and discover how the land was used when it was "Newton's playground." Meet at the Marriott Hotel parking lot. Free.
  • Tuesday, August 19, 6:00 p.m. -- dusk: NOTE: Postponed from previous week. Friends of Hemlock Gorge hosts their annual summer picnic and free outdoor concert featuring Jenn Bostic and Kenny Silva. At Hamilton Place (Central Avenue/Elliot Street), Needham.
