• Tuesday, October 1, at 7:15 p.m.: Meeting of the Friends of Hemlock Gorge at the Emerson School, Pettee Street, Newton Upper Falls.
• Wednesday, October 9, at 9:30 a.m.: Meeting of the Greater Boston Seniors Computer Group. Brian Charlson, vice president for computer training at the Carroll Center for the Blind, will speak on "Computer Training for the Visually Impaired". Q & A sessions will follow the talk.
