  • Tuesday, November 2, at 7:00 a.m. -- 8:00 p.m.: State and Federal Elections.
    The Newton Election Commission has sample Absentee Ballots organized by Ward and Precinct.
    You can find out what your ward and precinct are, and where your polling place is by going to the City of Newton's "Where Do I Vote" page. Information about Absentee Ballots is available at the city's site.
  • Tuesday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m.: Meeting of the Friends of Hemlock Gorge at the Emerson School, Pettee Street, Newton Upper Falls.
  • Wednesday, November 10, at 6:45 p.m.: Meeting of the Temple Emanuel Networking Group.
    Topic: "Overcoming Fears, Phobias, and Traumas with Natural Biodestressing" with Judith A. Swack, Ph.D., originator of Healing from the Body Level Up, (HBLU), a mind/body healing methodology that clears blocks to success at the conscious, unconscious, body and soul levels simultaneously.
    Temple Emanuel is at 385 Ward Street, Newton. The building is handicap accessible and there is on-street parking. Free and open to the public.
