  • Tuesday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m.: meeting of the Friends of Hemlock Gorge at the Emerson School, Pettee Street, Newton Upper Falls.
  • Wednesday, March 2, at 6:20 p.m.: Mayor Setti Warren hosts a 2011 Budget Town Hall. At the Zervas Elementary (Ward 5)
  • Sunday, March 6, 9:00 a.m. -- 12 noon. Free community health fair at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, 2014 Washington Street, Newton. The fair will be held in the Bowles Conference Center on the second floor. br/>Highlights to include complimentary health screenings such as bone density, cholesterol, blood pressure, lower back, and peripheral arterial disease screening. Screening availability is on a first come-first served basis.
    Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) screenings will also be offered by appointment only. A non-invasive ultrasound of the abdominal area to look for an enlargement of the aorta, AAA screenings are for eligible participants only.   • Wednesday, March 9, at 6:45 p.m.: Meeting of the Temple Emanuel Networking Group. This month's topic: "Reading for Success" Abby Grant of the Boston Business Journal will speak on how to use the Boston Business Journal as a tool in a job search. Her perspective is unique as she has a background in recruiting and recently completed her own job search. The Boston Business Journal is the leading business publication covering regional business.
