  • Thursday, December 6, at 4:30 p.m.: Holiday Lighting at Newton City Hall. Storytelling by the Mayor, music by David Polansky, refreshments.
  • Saturday December 8, 10:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m.: Newton Fine Art & Craft Show. Newton Cultural Center, 225 Nevada St., Newtonville. Admission: $3 per person; $8 per family.
  • Sunday December 9, 11:00 a.m. -- 4:00 p.m.: Newton Fine Art & Craft Show. Newton Cultural Center, 225 Nevada St., Newtonville. Admission: $3 per person; $8 per family.
  • Wednesday, December 12, at 7:00 p.m.: Meeting of the Temple Emanuel Networking Group. This month's speaker is Merle Kummer, Principal, Kummer Consulting: "Communication for Successful Innovation".
    Temple Emanuel is at 385 Ward Street, Newton. The building is handicap accessible and there is on-street parking. Free and open to the public.
  • Sunday December 30, 1:30 p.m. -- 3:30 p.m.: Mayor's Open House at Newton City Hall. Entertainment, face painting, refreshments
