  • Tuesday, April 2 at 7:15 p.m.: Meeting of the Friends of Hemlock Gorge at the Emerson School, Pettee Street, Newton Upper Falls.
  • Monday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m.: An American Film Premiere: Samuel Bak: "The Art of Speaking About the Unspeakable" at Temple Reyim
  • Tuesday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m.: Auditions for parts in the Newton Country Player's Midsummer Night's Dream
  • Wednesday, April 10
    • at 9:30 a.m.: Meeting of the Greater Boston Seniors Computer Group. Andy Trask of Geek Households, will answer the questions "Why Is My Computer So Sluggish? Do I Have a Virus?" Q&A sessions will follow the talk.

    • Special Election. Polls open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    • 7:00 p.m.: "Walks and Talks with Nature". An informal talk about the Jackson Homestead's new exhibition about Charles Maynard. Curator and exhibit designer Susan Abele will present and informal talk about discovering long lost information about this Newton Resident. Tickets are $5.00 ($3.00 for members).
