All programs will be shown on the Red channel, which is Channel 9 on Comcast and Channel 16 on RCN.

Candidate Statements

"Candidates' Messages to the Voters" is produced by NewTV staff as a service for candidates and voters. All candidates are invited to the studio to tape a 3-minute statement. These statements are edited together in ballot order. It's a long ballot and the tape is nearly two hours long. It is scheduled to play at the following times.

  • Monday, October 27 at 1:00 pm;
  • Tuesday, October 28 at 8:30 pm;
  • Wednesday, October 29 at 1:00 pm;
  • Thursday, October 30 at 10:38 pm;
  • Friday, October 31 at 2:00 pm;
  • Saturday, November 1 at 8:00 pm; and
  • Monday, November 3 at 8:30 am.

Candidate Debates

The League of Women Voters and NewTV co-sponsor candidates debates. The debates for the Alderman-at-Large races will be shown on

  • Monday, October 27 at 2:55 pm;
  • Tuesday, October 28 at 10:25 pm;
  • Wednesday, October 29 at 2:55 pm;
  • Thursday, October 30 at 7:00 pm
  • Saturday, November 1 at 11:04 pm; and
  • Sunday, November 2 at 1:00 pm and at 11:30 pm
The debates for Ward Alderman and School Committee races will be shown on
  • Wednesday, October 29 at 12:54 am and 5:24 pm
  • Thursday, October 30 at 9:28 pm
  • Friday, October 31 at 1:00 pm.
  • Saturday, November 1 at 9:55 pm
  • Sunday, November 2 at 3:28 pm

The Municipal Election will be held on November 4. The polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm. If you cannot get to the polls on Election Day, you can vote absentee. Call 617-796-1350 for information.
